Professional Development
Growing up I always saw my teachers as all knowing. They knew everything about technology and were able to answer all my questions. So, they must have taken the time to learn and ask questions to at least seem like they are experts. Professional development is very important for every career, even education. Keeping up to date on all thing’s technology is important for not only the teacher themselves, but the students too. I don’t consider myself very tech savvy, so I usually wait until someone else has the “new tech” to learn about it. When it comes to a job or assignment, I take my time to google and research all I need to know. One site I use is Apple. They are the leading technology brand on the market and all my products are by them, so it makes sense for me to gather my information from them. https://www.apple.com/
PowerPoint Assignment
PowerPoint is one program I thought I knew the most about, and I still believe this. But this assignment showed me even more cool ways to spice up my PowerPoints. Before all of mine were very standard and checked all the boxes, but now with the knowledge I learned from this assignment, they go above and beyond. Next time I can really take the time to invest in the information on my PowerPoint and less time on the fluff. But overall this assignment was the most useful one we have done yet.
Instructor's Post
The most interesting thing I noticed is that we all mentioned growing up with technology and how that has adapted our educational experience. This feedback might have looked very different in this class 5 years ago and it will be interesting to see it change further 5 years from now. Technology has been a major thing in all of our lives and will continue to be. Another interesting point was all the different types of educational resources people mentioned. There were some I use frequently and am very familiar with. While there are others that I have never heard of but now are able to incorporate them into my education.

Hi, Mallory
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
You might want to change your font color for Paragraph 2 and 3. I can only see them only by selecting the whole paragraph.
Hey! This was a really good post. I agree that we look up to our teachers so I learned to use a lot of technology from them. The powerpoint projects were very fun to learn because mine were plain and simple before this class so I agree with you. I really liked your powerpoints! Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Mallory!
ReplyDeleteI love our different perspectives we've come to have throughout our educational career. I always felt as if my teachers were sort of lacking in their technological knowledge, but that is definitely a personal opinion! However, we can all learn from each other and use this to adapt our teaching styles. I do agree with our professor however, i cannot see the words to your 2nd and 3rd paragraphs but your powerpoints look amazing!
Great post!
