Technology Experience
Technology is
something that controls our daily lives, whether we notice or not. Growing up
in a technological society, I have a lot of experiences with it. But I wouldn’t
say I am an expert. I have experience with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well
as the google drive systems. There is a lot I know how to do, but I still use
google and my tech-savvy father often when it comes to help with my computer. My
knowledge is very broad, where I have minor experience with lots of different programs.
Learning Expectations
Throughout my time in
this course I hope to learn as much as I can about technology. I hope to become
more confident in my abilities when it comes to working through technological issues
that arise. Lastly, I hope to become well versed in many different computer programs.
This will help me in my future classroom and ultimately benefit my future
students.
Learning about my Learning Style
The sides that I leaned
towards in my learning style quiz were active, sensing, visual, and sequential.
Based off these four words, I was not surprised at all. I have always been
someone who learns best when seeing something visually or physically mapped out. Something
that I didn’t know was that I was a sequential learner. Once seeing this result
and reading through it, I wasn’t surprised either. This means that I prefer to
learn by doing things in steps in order to find the end result. One thing that
also surprised me was I was only slightly leaning towards the ‘active’ learner
side. So, I guess this means I learn actively and reflectively depending what
the circumstance is.
Interesting layout! I am impressed by your experience with technology. We will learn more about educational applications of technology together in our class.
